"dr rekha kulit halus mulis habaq jgn picit2 jerawat... budget nak drain la konon.. kpale otak hangpa!!.. nanti lagik truk.. pakai la topical antibiotic eg: erythromycin"

Acne vulgaris (commonly called acne) is a skin condition caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland)"histology darling phase 1 MBBS tuh!!". Severe acne is inflammatory, but acne can also manifest in noninflammatory forms.Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, blemishes, spots, zits, or acne.

Acne is most common during adolescence, affecting more than 85% of teenagers, and frequently continues into adulthood. The cause in adolescence is generally an increase in male sex hormones::testosterone:: (satu klas ngan konfiden nye jawap female time PMS.. aiyooo.. xpasal2.. "u all go back n read!!" ::dr rekha::), which people of both genders accrue during puberty. For most people, acne diminishes over time and tends to disappear—or at the very least decrease—after one reaches one's early twenties.(haha.. patutla.. ingatkan kene gigit nyamuk!~ =P ) There is, however, no way to predict how long it will take to disappear entirely, and some individuals will continue to suffer well into their thirties, forties and beyond.

The face and upper neck are the most commonly affected, but the chest, back and shoulders may have acne as well. The upper arms can also have acne, but lesions found there are often keratosis pilaris, not acne. Typical acne lesions are comedones, inflammatory papules, pustules and nodules. Some of the large nodules were previously called "cysts" and the term nodulocystic has been used to describe severe cases of inflammatory acne. [4]

stages of acne:;

  • grade I - comedo
  • grade II - comedo + papules
  • grade III - comedo + pustules(not vesicle although got discharge ::viva ngan dr rekha td aduihhh::
  • grape IV - comedo + nodules

treatment : depends on the severity .. (malas nak tulis sebrnye.. tp klo ikot wiki nh.. still pakai tetracycline .. what been told to me by dr rekha kulit halus mulus::HOD dermatology kot:: tetracycline tuh x pakai dahh.. sbb when used for acne vulgaris, skin can be extremely dry and flaky if overused... laen sila la bace text book dermatology anda sendri ek?? maleh nak tulis.. (padehal td time dr rekha cakap.. aku dok nganga x salin haha..)
